Our sending church, Unity Missionary Baptist Church of Longview, Texas,
sponsored our Pastor, Ricky Knight, to begin a Bible Study with the
expectation of planting a new church serving the growing South Grand
Prairie area. Bible studies were held in the pastor's home until March 31,
2002 when a group of 10 organized and began meeting at the La Quinta
Conference Center in Arlington. Since that time the membership has
grown and property was purchased. A house on the property was
modified to meet our current worship requirements and the church moved
to their new location May of 2004. Preliminary plans with a view to
continued growth are under development.
- The Bible is the inspired word of God.
- Jesus is Jehovah God and was virgin born as a man.
- God created the heavens and the earth as stated in Genesis.
- Man is sinful and totally dependent upon the redemptive work of Christ for
the salvation of his soul. - Salvation is eternally secured by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
- There is a heaven to gain and a hell to shun.
- Churches are independent, local and visible.
- Satan is a real being whose purpose is to confuse, deceive, and destroy
the masses. - The end of time will be preceded by the return of Jesus for God’s children.
- There will be a judgment of both the redeemed and the lost separated by a
span of 1,000 years.
